Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy explains what the FollowBoost app and website (“FollowBoost”, “we”), operated by FollowBoost, collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- Device identity. FollowBoost has no sign-up form. The app creates an account for your phone using an app-specific device identifier, which we store only in hashed form. We use it to keep you signed in and to give free coins once per phone.
- Backup details (optional). If you link a phone number or a Google account to back up your account, we store that number or your Google email and name. Phone numbers are verified with a one-time SMS code.
- Profiles you add. The public usernames you add, and the public data shown on those profiles and posts (follower counts, posts, likes, views, comments), which we read to show analytics and to place your orders. We never ask for your social media passwords.
- Orders and wallet. The packs you buy, the links they are for, order progress, and every coin movement in your wallet.
- Purchases. Coin pack purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We receive a purchase record (product, price, transaction id, refund status) through RevenueCat. We never see your card, UPI or bank details.
- Connected accounts and posts (optional). If you connect a social account to schedule posts, we store the access granted by that platform's own sign-in screen, the captions you write and the photos or videos you upload for scheduled posts.
- Notifications. A push notification token for your device, used to tell you about orders, refills, coins and reminders.
- Usage and diagnostics. App events (such as screens viewed, a pack bought, an order completed) through Google Analytics for Firebase, with an app instance id. We do not collect your advertising id. To protect free rewards, Android may share an app integrity verdict from Google Play.
- Support. Messages you send us by email or chat.
How we use it
- To run the app: show analytics, place and track orders, keep your wallet, deliver refills and refunds, and publish scheduled posts.
- To send the notifications you allow.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, such as claiming free coins more than once.
- To understand how the app is used and improve it.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run FollowBoost, and only what each one needs:
- Hosting and database (Supabase, Amazon Web Services).
- Payments (Google Play, Apple App Store, RevenueCat).
- Push notifications and analytics (Google Firebase).
- SMS verification codes (an SMS provider such as MSG91 or Twilio).
- Reading public profile data (a web data provider).
- Delivery partners for promotion packs, who receive the public link of the post or profile and the amount ordered, not who you are.
- An AI provider that writes caption and hashtag suggestions from the text you give it.
- The social platform you connect, when we publish a post you scheduled.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Wallet and purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is deleted. Uploaded media is kept until the post is published or canceled, then removed.
Your choices and rights
- Turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings.
- Remove profiles and disconnect social accounts in the app.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by writing to [email protected]. See how to delete your account.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Access to our database is limited to our servers; device identifiers and recovery codes are stored hashed.
Children
FollowBoost is not meant for children under 13, and you must be old enough to use the social platforms you add.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
